Part of winter is feeding round bales. Here I am loading another 14 bales to take up to where I feed the cows. They get 3 of these bales a day plus 16% grain and corn silage. The 16% grain is bought locally through a feed store and we get it in the pellet form. We tried the heifer mash and that works best for younger cattle. The corn silage is bought from a friend of ours that also farms it. For us right now it makes sense to buy the corn silage versus buying the extra equipment needed to put up our own.

Our animals also have available at all times a mineral and Selenium 50-pound blocks a 24% protein block to keep them healthy.
